築50年の住宅をリノベーションしたかき氷やお芋スイーツの店舗。

“大阪府茨木市にある「氷とお芋の専門店 らんらん」の新店舗移転計画。商店街にあった既存店舗を移転するに当たり、「らんらんらしいこだわりのある空間でお客さまをお迎えしたい」という施主の想いのもと、オーナーの先代が暮らしていた木造平屋一軒家をリノベーションして新店舗へと生まれ変わらせた。
メインの商品は「大学芋」であり、その素材の芋は、全国100 種以上のさつまいもを食べ比べて厳選し、またその調理方法についても20 年以上の試行錯誤を重ね、他には無い独自の味を確立している。シンプルな商品であるからこそ、その素材や調理方法への強いこだわりや想いが「らんらんらしさ」であり、内装計画にもその精神を宿らせることを意識した。
土壁、柿渋和紙、木等、材料は自然素材にこだわり、それらに取り合う金属は色調の調和を意識し、銅を選択している。銅は他金属よりも経年変化が早く、旧材との馴染みも良い。土壁には、これまで毎日大量に廃棄されていたさつまいもの皮を練り混ぜ、らんらんならではのオリジナルな仕上げとした。床材はアピトンフローリングを採用しているが、既存の敷居を現しとし、銅板による見切りを入れ、その存在を強調した。新しい材料で既存の素材を隠してしまうような厚化粧のデザインではなく、既存躯体を素材としてとらえ、丁寧に調理するようにデザインする、そのような意識の表出を試みた。
外壁仕上げはあえて既存のままとし、周辺の住宅地と調和しながらも、前面道路の塀を撤去し、開放的な庭を設え、マチにささやかなシークエンスの変化を与えている。間口二間の既存の縁側をエントランスに転用し、建具は既存のまま使用しながらも、庇を新調することで、エントランスのおおらかさを拡張した。”

"A new store relocation plan for" Ranran, a specialty store for ice and potatoes "in Ibaraki City, Osaka Prefecture. When relocating an existing store in the shopping district, we renovated the wooden one-story house where the owner's predecessor lived and renovated the new store based on the owner's desire to "welcome customers in a space that is unique to Ranran." The main product is "Daigaku-imo", and the raw potatoes are carefully selected by eating and comparing more than 100 kinds of sweet potatoes nationwide, and the cooking method is also unique after more than 20 years of trial and error. Has established the taste of. Because it is a simple product, the strong commitment and feelings for its ingredients and cooking methods are "Ranran-ness", and I was conscious of having that spirit in the interior planning.
We are particular about natural materials such as clay walls, persimmon astringent Japanese paper, and wood, and we select copper as the metal that matches them, considering the harmony of colors. Copper changes over time faster than other metals and has a good affinity with old materials. A large amount of sweet potato skin, which had been discarded every day, was kneaded into the clay wall to create an original finish unique to Ranran. Apiton flooring is used for the flooring, but the existing sill is revealed and a copper plate is cut off to emphasize its existence. Instead of a thick make-up design that hides the existing material with a new material, I tried to express such consciousness by considering the existing skeleton as a material and designing it to cook carefully.
The exterior wall finish is intentionally left as it is, and while harmonizing with the surrounding residential area, the front road fence has been removed and an open garden has been set up, giving the gusset a small change in the sequence. The existing porch between the two frontages was diverted to the entrance, and while the fittings were used as they were, the eaves were renewed to expand the generosity of the entrance."
